listening to brenda laurel again after two years i suddenly asked myself if her voice is one of the macintalk voices (i think there is one called "brenda", isn't it?)... her talking activated some aural memories in my head but a google search just led me to a text by howard rheingold.

The Macintalk-Girls were (and are again since Mac OS X):
Agnes, Kathy, Victoria and Princess.
The boy-section consisted of Albert, Bruce, Fred and Ralph.
Furthermore, there was the harmony-section of Bah, Bells, Bad News, Boing, Bubbles, Cellos, Deranged, Good News, Hysterical, Junior, Pipe Organ, Trinoids, Whisper and of course Zarvox.

hey, thanks marina for the information. in the meantime i googled the web and obviously macintalk 2 indeed contained a voice called "brenda" which was of too poor quality to be supported any longer...
