if you think your self-created stor trooper simply looks to similar to all the others, andrea might have the right hint for you: the facegenerator let's you get your hands on your real physiognomy.

scary, scary: some people messed around in my anonymous ftp inbox. i once installed this for people who wanted to drop some data for me (i do not like e-mail attachments so much). however, the last six months i did not care about the inbox or my ftp logs. so today i discovered a bunch of strange files inside: aborted mp3's, strange default pages, cryptic errorlogs and a picture of jennifer o'neill (whoever that is). hannes immediately had the idea to provide a web service that stores files for free on many of such free ftp servers. see? trust nobody, not even your best mates ;)

exploring windows nt: scheduling events with the "at" command. if i would have known this earlier...

2001 thanks go out to hans_heinz for his stereolab quadruple compilation. "l'enfer des formes" is a long-time favorite of mine!

these memories can't wait: in 1995 i met helge schneider at a gas station in mülheim/ruhr. he pushed his ancient side car motorbike hither because he ran out of gas. i listened to a stereolab tape i got from a beloved one.

whew! loads of wonderful links found today down in the partykeller... and netdyslexia probably discovered the next big i-hype: stor troopers, the "drag-and-drop java avatar-creator" (introducing the new java method neuterGenitals()).

this is the week of the naked truth: nakednews.com – "the program with nothing to hide". and where do the others watch the paperboys dropping their pants?

no clouds across the moon tonight here in vienna, so i can see it very well: the total eclipse of the moon january 9, 2001.

reminds me of a tacky tune my sister liked so much when she was younger:

"now when i look at the clouds across the moon here in the night i just hope and pray that soon oh baby, you'll hurry home to me" – the rah band, "clouds across the moon"

a nice collection of windows software programmed by gregory braun.
