aesthetic apparatus: "we design posters. then we screen print them by hand with great love and care. this is what we do."
wonderful posters, btw.
why tv is bad and degrading: "wenn jemand nicht ausdrücklich sagt, dass er nicht ins fernsehen möchte, liegt eine konkludente einwilligung vor" (as reported by der spiegel).
so next time somebody rings you out of bed at 2 o'clock in the morning and points a camera at you when opening the door, beat the shit out of him and say the magic words: "tv sucks".
btw. if your german is sufficient, compete with creating similar sentences in the sofablog raffle (yet, the entries lack of excellence).

"the crisis consists precisely in the fact that the old is dying and the new cannot be born; in this interregnum a great variety of morbid symptoms appears." antonio gramsci, 18911937.
this quote was written on a t-shirt my mother used to wear a lot in the 80s. at that time it was voguish to wear such clothes, not a political attitude (okay, let's forget the distinction, just keep in mind that my mother was a mere ecological than political activist. darn, this distinction does not make more sense...).
yesterday, i have thrown these words into camp catatonia's bonfire as a reaction to her excellent observations of the relationship between popular politics and mass media in austria these days (keyword "haider" again and again and again and again).
oops, i absolutely forgot to include camp catatonia at the bottom of this posting. apologies for that. but what's done is done and can be undone!
thomas prlic: "public private alltag internet-weblogs sind öffentliche chroniken ganz privater angewohnheiten netzpublikationen zwischen tagebuch und journalismus".

schoda has some good links to photoweblogs (but unfortunately does not have a permanent link to the archived entry).
the sensomatics spotted spam. btw. the first spam i was happy to receive.
next week is fashion week: on tuesday 22 january 2002 lena kvadrat is going to present her dernières collections at mak night featuring even more famous models than ever before.
also watch listen out for an fm4 radio special...
darn, how do i link to a newspaper?
dear falter reader who you probably came here accidentally: thou shalt know that i certainly talked about christian langreiter when i explained wikis (which are not really that new, rather "not that popular". or: "not that common". or: "not that well-known"). mr langreiter's weblog is made of wikiwiki stuff and he also taught me the wikiwiki dance. and although i don't use any wikiwiki concepts here at the moment, i like the idea very much.
in this last paragraph one might realize two important ideals behind weblogs, too: 1) i can rearrange words more quickly and thus put things right which otherwise (e.g. when printed on a piece of paper) would remain wrong. at least concerning my point of view. 2) i like to give credit where credit is due. hey, i am so noble, give me a hug!
you even might have noticed some more things but those i leave up to you.
did i mention that i like the falter article? kudos to thomas prlic and heribert corn.
but... it's a man's, man's weblog world, or what? motz, radio im netz, gig:antville/ffm, camp catatonia, girlscamp, wortwerkstatt. just to mention a few more.

wow! heribert corn is a whale at taking pictures. as far as i can see, also hannes wallnöfer had to get down on his knees to fit in the clipping. klaus "bukowksi" makotter really is that small (heheh).
eurotracer: "in january 2002, twenty 2-euro coins have been spread around by the eurotracer-team. this site traces the wherabouts of these euros in order to research the speed of travel and the way it moves around in europe. therefore a sticker with an id, password and a reference to this website has been placed on all of these euros, so that they can be traced."
if one of these prepared 2-euro coins cross your way, you can report it to eurotracer!
and another euro story found via eurotrash: "strippers get magnetic panties to cope with euro coins".
