next week is fashion week: on tuesday 22 january 2002 lena kvadrat is going to present her dernières collections at mak night featuring even more famous models than ever before.
also watch listen out for an fm4 radio special...
darn, how do i link to a newspaper?
dear falter reader who you probably came here accidentally: thou shalt know that i certainly talked about christian langreiter when i explained wikis (which are not really that new, rather "not that popular". or: "not that common". or: "not that well-known"). mr langreiter's weblog is made of wikiwiki stuff and he also taught me the wikiwiki dance. and although i don't use any wikiwiki concepts here at the moment, i like the idea very much.
in this last paragraph one might realize two important ideals behind weblogs, too: 1) i can rearrange words more quickly and thus put things right which otherwise (e.g. when printed on a piece of paper) would remain wrong. at least concerning my point of view. 2) i like to give credit where credit is due. hey, i am so noble, give me a hug!
you even might have noticed some more things but those i leave up to you.
did i mention that i like the falter article? kudos to thomas prlic and heribert corn.
but... it's a man's, man's weblog world, or what? motz, radio im netz, gig:antville/ffm, camp catatonia, girlscamp, wortwerkstatt. just to mention a few more.
wow! heribert corn is a whale at taking pictures. as far as i can see, also hannes wallnöfer had to get down on his knees to fit in the clipping. klaus "bukowksi" makotter really is that small (heheh).
eurotracer: "in january 2002, twenty 2-euro coins have been spread around by the eurotracer-team. this site traces the wherabouts of these euros in order to research the speed of travel and the way it moves around in europe. therefore a sticker with an id, password and a reference to this website has been placed on all of these euros, so that they can be traced."
if one of these prepared 2-euro coins cross your way, you can report it to eurotracer!
and another euro story found via eurotrash: "strippers get magnetic panties to cope with euro coins".
(via girlscamp).
starting next sunday on german tv: "im glashaus das philosophische quartett". thoughts, talks and topics with peter sloterdijk (as marcel reich-ranicki) and rüdiger safranski (as sigrid löffler) with a guest appearance of reinhold messner and friedrich schorlemmer.
women not admitted.
derstandard: interview with peter sloterdijk (in german).
since a while austrian telekabel is broadcasting bbc prime which is an excellent alternative to german-speaking public broadcast. maybe they will show trigger happy tv one day, too...
"HELLO?! WHAT? I'M AT ORF! I AM AT O-R-F!! NAH, IT'S RUBBISH!!"
dot-com builder: "making tomcat (4.0) work with apache".
here, too, i failed. although i managed to understand that my apache installation needs a special version of mod_webapp.so (it needs too be compiled with the -DEAPI option which certainly was not possible so easily but i found a binary in the download section of tomcat 4.0), and there is some action going on with tomcat, i am still not able to properly connect to tomcat applications via apache.
java.io.IOException: Premature packet header end errors i get all the time not unknown in tomcat world, nevertheless a solution i could not find... maybe the version 4.0 mod_webapp.so module does not like the current version 4.0.1 of tomcat?
duh2!
creating ssl certificates for net services.
i would be happy to deliver some detailed and good information about this holy subject. however, although i was using more than twice the amount of helpful documentation resources (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8) than hannes, i still was not able to create an appropriate certifcate for my server and its net services. duh!
