"together alone" (parts i, ii, iii, iv, v) is the funniest tv serial i have seen so far: three men, the mountain wilderness of lower austria and the magic word. brought to me by the incredible (conspirat) comm port™. blair witch project is a piece of crap.
concepts the world was waiting for (and i mean it literally): conceptlab.com bringing to you the simulator ("html-based work of a banal 'interactive' day", found via sofablog), slowsoftware.com ("a proposed dotcom business model in which a company's sole product line consists of slow-running, inconvenient, sloppy-source, bloated software"), slowporn.com ("a website that is very, very slow. featured on cbc radio one") and other funny-strange projects (probably even fast ones).
one last sensomatic message at london news... a very nice panorama view of the office at alpenmilchzentrale. and i always thought i must have a terrible posture sitting in front of a computer (actually, this is still a pretty bad posture, but hey, it could be much worse). probably my extra-high tables do a good job.
telepolis: "eine kleine Geschichte des (deutschen) überwachungsstaates seit den 70er jahren".
i was pretty young in the 7ties, but still have memories of this "leaden time". it feels a little bit like today.
"oh yeah! operation: enduring our freedom is in the motherfucking house!" so get your war on (found via serverart.org).
now i can imagine what's inside willy dungl's "gute laune" tea that makes hannes so high: the german institute for consumer protection stiftung warentest has tested 50 different teas with fruit flavor and found only five which do not contain residues of pesticides.
cardamom, as if!
"in advance of a broken arm" is the title of saydog's first cd release (the saydog website is yet to come, please hold on). it's an unusual mixture of dark urban soundtracks, somewhere between nine inch nails, tortoise and jean-michel jarre (but quickly let's forget about these inferior comparisons). i favor the calm, mystical compositions although the chasing ones contain interesting twists and breaks but almost never a straight beat. those who know the cd-rom ribingu rumu might find some audible similarities between the sound design and saydog's musical work and in fact, it was made by one and the same person, michael strengberg, who i once again recommend as musician of choice for your next multimedial project.
hey, barbara has some original ribingu rumu footage!
to be honest and to sound as arrogant as possible for a lightweight internet oppossum: i am not very delighted by rssmonkey. reason 1: it cannot handle rss 1.0 extensions, e.g. dublin core. reason 2: i have to download, install and configure a lot before i even can render any rss feed. reason 3: it's slow. reason 4: it makes crude things with a simple apostroph. reason 5: it has a better designed website than i have for my own rss utility. <g>
btw. when will we forget about the term "special" characters? e.g. like letters with hacek, ogonek or macron? they are bloody unspecial characters here in europe, so get used to support them.
the return of the sensomatič knights: pimi and flo are back, they have safely landed in vienna two days ago. a warm welcome!
