although most of the time i consider it as a pity that in germany non-german movies are dubbed, it's sometimes nice to know the people behind the tv-heros of one's childhood: "deutsche stimmen a-z" is a long downloading page listing the "voices" (who are often actors themselves) and their roles. additionally, a short biographic data, some pictures and sound excerpts round off the information.
my sister once met gerd duwner, the voice of sesame street's ernie, danny de vito, jerry lewis and festus (remember "rauchende colts"?) – however on a rather unfortunate occasion: he was brought to the station of the hospital in berlin where my sister was working as a doctor. this must have been approximately 5 years ago.
