why is it that everyone is writing about rainer these days? does anyone know this strange feeling when a word is heard too often (e.g. by saying it to oneself all the time), it sounds weird, strange or like complete nonsense? i mean, rainer – does this make sense in english anyway? a clue: "the weather might get rainier but with rainer it's sunshiner". hey rainer, just kiddin'! your name is good for rhymer.

with my improved communication skills, i consider uboot more interesting than i ever thought i would do... trouble is, that right now i am sending and receiving mail on three different machines already. with my pocket phone here comes another messaging device. so, why can't i store all those messages. addresses, numbers and whatever data on a single location (ie. a server) being able to retrieve them with any of those devices from almost anywhere?

anyway, pocket phone manufacturer's still do not use the infrared options of their products smart enough. i certainly would drop the term "phone" immediately, if i could adjust the volume of my stereo or switch the programs of my tv with it. not to write of shaving my ever-growing beard, measuring temperature (oral, you fool!) or electrocuting intrusive fans...

since yesterday i am the proud (really!) owner of a pocket phone (why the hell would someone reasonable call such a device "cellular" or "handy"?)... now i am learning to decode the scrambling noises burning in my ears (i am already pretty good with scrambled tv programs and certainly with scrambled egg).

on october 28 my frontier licence runs out. i will not renew. instead, i will concentrate on another software that gives to me similar possibilities (however it is totally different from frontier) but easier understanding of its structure. it's called helma object publisher (hop).

currently i am joining the hop documentation project to provide better support for future hop developers and hop(e)fully also will integrate my own web stuff and more ideas i have had recently with the hop.

in the last year i tried out so many different scripting languages, content management systems and tools myself (ie. not as a paid job) that i was ot able to focus properly on one of them (except rebol, maybe): frontier, zope, hop, blogger, rebol, perl. php, vbscript – not to mention javascript... that's just too much distraction altogether.

btw. in javascript i see a bright future: it is used in browsers. it's available for scripting the mac as well as windows. and the scripting language used by hop is – javascript! excitement enforces its merited space.
