Critical Atlas of Internet.

Through a series of 15 hypotheses, this Critical Atlas of Internet aims to develop 15 conceptual spatialization exercises. The purpose of the atlas is to use spatial analysis as a key to understanding social, political and economic issues on Internet. The atlas seek to discern the shape of the Internet in order to understand the concrete issues and stakes involved.

Just started the week-end installing and using Beets“the media library management system for obsessive music geeks” (guilty).

Suddenly, all my MP3s became liberated again and my local music collection became the single point of truth again. No more iTunes (after my recent move to Linux, anyway), no more cumbersome graphical user interfaces. Beets is like grep for digital music files.

If you want to get started with Beets yourself I recommend to install the discogs plug-in already before the first import run, especially the more your taste of music diverges from the anglo-american mainstream. Same goes for the fetchart, embedart and thumbnails plug-ins if you like your file system the way I do:
