Dieser Film von 1968, der später mit dem Adolf-Grimme-Preis ausgezeichnet wurde, sorgte damals bundesweit für heftige Reaktionen. Man hatte einen werbewirksamen Heimatfilm erwartet und fühlte sich nun plötzlich diffamiert (Landrat Kohl: „Hinterhältiges Machwerk!“). Das Frankenberger Stadtarchiv bewahrt dazu noch sämtliche Zuschauer- und Leserbriefe auf (HNA). Sendetermin: 3.1.1969.
