i am no expert, but to me this looks like an amazing example of hip-to-date marketing: eloquent blog, almost arty happening, tv-compatible videos... and all they sell is blenders. did they learn their lessons well?

excellent digging: rfc 2379 (as of 1998) defines the data uri which lets you embed image data into a url!
example: the p3k logo (easily encoded with the help of a binary file to base 64 encoder).
this would have been so darn useful during the era of the infamous pixel.gif...
nothing essentially happens with the absence of sound.
for hours i could watch muted music videos (example). it's so incredibly funny, those heroes with their guitars and microphones and gestures and movements. hilarious. like little wind-up puppets, so diligent, so hard-working (only drummers act like really strict machines).
