i've written this tiny script in, er, 1998? 1999? completely self-educated (just with a few hints in my mind thanks to a tall girl studying japanology) and most likely with more than only some mistakes...

most likely, too, the links only make sense on a mac because i hard-coded a font called katakana textbook which obviously (and fortunately) still exists in os x.

however, the translations (or rather: transformations) above come from nobody else but the most honorable takemurasan; via a similar katakana equivalent he sketched a bunch of kanji signs on a napkin and explained their meanings to the stunned hydrants.
