by chance i watched some excerpts of a quite disturbing animated movie called Neco z Alenky which is nothing less than a creepy version of carrol's "alice in wonderland".
it's one of the amazing works of jan svankmajer, which is probably very well described with the words of anthony lane ("the new yorker"):
