"UFO & Alien Footage Hidden in Nazi Porno Films – UFOs, Anti-Gravity, and Pornography" (currently the illest link at le sofa).

there was a time when a project called [hydra was mentioned in the "anti-gravity consumer catalogue" in icc's intercommunication, vol. 23.

up to now i thought about anti-gravity: what a nice term (e.g. the catalogue also showed these wicked japanese schoolgirl stockings which never slip down to their ankles).

that bothers me with these nazi ideas: they corrupt our language. they steal our words. they poison communication.

anyway, recently i dug out some [hydra documents from krycke, my old server (the original [hydra keeps her pot boiling on a cd-rom. yes, that's one of these silver disks we used to produce for a living at that time).

yesterday on tv: karl jaspers speaking. talking. story-telling. in the beginning g., w. and me laugh a lot. it's like fairy-tale time. mythic grandpa is telling the stale news again once more. and we make ironic jokes about the jump cuts in the vintage footage.

but then suddenly, i feel fascinated by that guy and his story. his childhood. his early indisposition. his gentle but strong disobedience. his loneliness in school. his juvenile cleverness.

i am listening and watching that guy. not caring about what great philosopher he might have been. but realizing the magnitude of his humanity.

at least yesterday on tv.

just noticed that the antville context menu did not work with ie6 anymore (except when you're at the same domain, which is quite a restriction to the original idea of the context menu).

fortunately, phil ringnalda got the right clue: "For reasons beyond the ken of mortal man, the IE programmers decided that a script called from a context menu could no longer get the url of the page where it was called from external.menuArguments.document.location.href, it could only get it from external.menuArguments.location.href. Yeah."

yeah, too. so here's the fix. blog on.

(anyone got something similar for mozilla or safari?)

speed reader (via langreiter).

"you don't have to move your eyes around a page to read." – quote from the original speeder reader site.

just in: the books. the eyre affair. cat's cradle. nowhere man. (hey, i have to barter that, or is this sloppy fringe cut related to the plot and thus by purpose?)

lost in reading. soon.

miss le bomb for all that's wrong. huge entertainment factor, especially the old drawings.
