btw. the interesting twist in the rssbox.js file is that it tries to adapt helma rendering methods onto client-side javascript. well, very basic, but at least one could get the idea: script once, run twice.

liebe lucy, lieber thomas n. burg, liebe knallgraus und auch liebe omi: antville ist die weblog-hosting-software, antville.org ist die online-test-plattform, um die software in realistischer umgebung auszuprobieren, und twoday.net verwendet von vorne bis hinten antville (ie.die software) mit wenigen, für den kommerziellen betrieb nötigen modifkationen.
das heißt, im engeren sinne ist twoday.net selbst überhaupt keine software, sondern eine weblog-hosting-plattform als kommerzielle anwendung der eigentlichen software antville. (was total ok ist und die antville-lizenz auch ausdrücklich erlaubt.)
twoday.net und antville.org sind sich also deshalb so ähnlich, weil ersteres auf dem gleichen programmcode läuft wie letzteres. (deshalb gibt's das antville logo ja auch auf twoday.net.)
auf antville.org können wegen administrativer überlastung, aber auch aus qualitätsgründen keine neuen weblogs mehr aufgenommen werden. (der neue server wäre m.e. durchaus in der lage, noch mehr weblogs zu hosten.) neue benutzer sind dagegen nach wie vor willkommen und können sich auch weiterhin auf antville.org registrieren.
