it's a big relief that mcshark is in town: like most of (all?) the austrian (european?) apple resellers they got ten mac os 10.1 cd-roms. probably because of the terror strikes or just because of some quabbalistic number play, who knows really. anyway, the mcshark guy kindly copied their last cd-rom on a blank cd-rw i brought with me. so i was able to install the latest version of apple's super-duper operating system right now.
i'll get down on my knees one day and throw my head into the dust because it is faster, a fact that probably makes it possible to work with it, finally. i also spotted some interesting new settings i haven't read about so far (e.g. the "restart automatically after a power failure" option). however, since the apparently successful installation i am missing internet explorer (in the sense of that it's not available).
and i came back from holidays thinking why shouldn't i simply get rid of my web-shmeb-computer-geeky occupation and do something meaningful...
