this quote was written on a t-shirt my mother used to wear a lot in the 80s. at that time it was voguish to wear such clothes, not a political attitude (okay, let's forget the distinction, just keep in mind that my mother was a mere ecological than political activist. darn, this distinction does not make more sense...).

yesterday, i have thrown these words into camp catatonia's bonfire as a reaction to her excellent observations of the relationship between popular politics and mass media in austria these days (keyword "haider" again and again and again and again).
