some news about mastheads.

in austria there is no such medienstaatsvertrag as in germany, but – just as mentioned by schockwellenreiter – there already is an european-wide regulation in effect concerning masthead liabilities.

nevertheless, for a private weblog which does not sell anything, does not offer advertising banners for money or publishes hints to products for sale or services at charge, there is not even a single reason for duty of disclosure. this means: no need for a masthead in respect of competition, consumer and trade law (i think i am missing the correct juristic expressions).

however, under media law the necessity of a masthead might be unshirkable and hence it's not a bad idea to add one to my weblog, too...
