Interestingly, while during the Weimar republic the targets of the arrows were monarchy, nazism and communism, nowadays they represent opposition against fascism, capitalism and clericalism for the Austrian social democracts (the symbol is in their official flag). Not surprisingly, the US faction calls for the fight against fascism and racism but – at least as I am aware of – not against capitalism.
