just sent out an e-mail to a bunch of users of my javascript rss box viewer script because lately i have been active rewriting it to become a release candidate in the open (as in open source).
so far the good message. (well, i hope i did not introduce some nasty new bugs, though.)
the bad one is that i don't think rebol is the future of scripting at least not for me and my amateur style of programming. (which is under big influence of mrs helma, i admit.)
rebol's pretty good for rapid prototyping. but for more complex tasks i simply miss a solid web application framework without re-inventing the wheel. and the syntax structure is really hardly readable. (just like perl, after a while you loose faith in your own code.)
in the end everything becomes a hack. that's no good.
