Japanese typographic symbols.

in the article my favorites aren't correctly rendered when i am using os x: 〄 and 〠.

and i still don't know even how to draw the symbol which resembles a small letter q following the letter p: pq.

has anybody potentially spotted this on the last trip to kyotokyo?
