what i should have known before upgrading to feisty.

— mod_jk2 is unsupported — viewcvs will be broken — kernel 2.6.20-15 won't boot

all in all it was a real hassle (ie. a lost week-end), not at last because i first had to get from breezy to hoary which itself was troublesome enough (courier-auth deadlock, trac dependency race condition).

i assume it was a mistake to enter "all" when i was asked which raid devices i'd like to see mounted by mdadm - because i don't have any.

for now everything is back to normal (except viewcvs which i can live without, anyway); still booting with 2.6.17-11 and still not knowing if i can fully disable mdadm...
