another example why the "culture" channel of orf on is worst of the worst: "schöne neue tagebuchwelt" ("brave new diary world"), an article about weblogs(!) in the states (the usual suspects including the well-known tools) and germany (two sites i am not familiar with).

what do we learn from this? from the media monopolist's point of view austria has no weblogs at all (at least to mention) and most weblogs are "home made media weeds" owned by "exhibitionist nerds" where "important pages" have to "stand out, ideally". the usual one-way hierarchy and the traditional myth of celebrity. whether the connotation of "mycel" is a mix-up with the term "rhizom" or simply a parody i don't know and i am not sure if i really want to. funny is that kultur.orf.at seems not to recognize fm4.orf.at (which claims to be a weblog) or the very good report about weblogs at matrix.orf.at...

it was the second time i sent a complaint to kultur.orf.at and probably the fifth time i ever complained via e-mail. although i am very good in complaining, generally.
