MicrosUTF8!
Just for the record: Internet Explorer (7?) does not understand "UTF8" as character set encoding. It only knows "UTF-8". (Please mind the hyphen.)
Even jQuery's great cross-browser AJAX code will become dysfunctional in the explorer's of teh internetz otherwise.
The hard lesson learnt: Never underestimate the power of a micro-soft punctuation mark; it's killing you micro-softly.
Good night.
Update: Yeah yeah yeah, ranting about the universal incompetence in UTF-8 and then suddenly question marks everywhere here on blog.p3k.org - now you be a humble, loving piefke, will you?!
