okay, okay: now i did watch "gefangene, die mit tesa vor dem mund in ihren zellen stehen und 'hmp! hmp!' machen"... it's an intense movie and i agree with jürgen wimmer that it is the "biggest package of unfiltered sadism and extreme violence" in german cinemas at the time.

i also agree that it is not a perfect movie. but since my attitude towards it was quite negative in the first place (mainly because moritz bleibtreu), i was quite surprised of all actors and the mise-en-scène. i also liked the images of the characters and how they changed during the escalating experiment.

the biggest mistake for me however, is that the plot misses the point of the original experiment's intentions: to prove that anyone reacts as his social position expects from him. no matter if one is an under- or over-educated person, power seduces and rears its ugly head.
