heute gern im kutter gelesen. irgendwie aus hannover, kommt mir vor. dort hab ich von 1992 bis 1996 studiert. den besten milchkaffee der stadt gab es bei jacqueline.

digital data porn, found via gig:antville.

czech girls wear their glasses with pride.

a week-end in prague: pictures at euroranch, elephäntville and alo.

palac akropolis. eating, drinking, dancing and "talking" (heheh) in prague. the place to be.

eve andersson: "diary of a start-up – this is a story about a company. a company that was profitable from day 1. a company that built products that were useful to many other companies. a company that had ethics, that treated the breadwinners (programmers) with respect, a company that could afford to help people and give away software and training, while still having enough left over to grow and save a few $million in the bank. that is, until the venture capitalists arrived on the scene".

talkin' 'bout ars digita.

"oh yes, i'm sure my life was well within it's usual frame the day before you came." – abba, “the day before you came”.

btw. tanita tikaram made a pretty cool cover version of this song...

it's time for my first visit to prague.

prag city server: "regarding 'drink', the czech republic is aeons ahead of the rest of us. the beer is exquisite, the girls are lovely, sorry, the wine from s. moravia is lovely, the vodka comes in a million different tastes, bottles and prices (a bit like whisky) and the sub-culture that surrounds the entire subject of alcohol is rich beyond mere words. i rather believe that if it wasn't for the fact that I hate becoming 'tired and emotional' (or drunk, as the state is otherwise known) i think i would probably be a dead man by now".

frank zappa and the prague underground.

oh, the central european review suspends publication "so that the cer team can devote itself fully to securing its future"... hopefully.

"much of what is being written, said or, done about database management is irrelevant, misleading, or outright wrong." – fabian pascal, "practical issues in database management".

although the author breaks with all my beloved ideals and conceptions of "cookbook" approaches to gain programming knowledge, i think it is good to listen to such dogmatic and militant words of a person with expertise from time to time.

thanks to mr tinytalk for this book recommendation.

from my referrers: abbe normal, "a wiki-weblog for our time".

i like the weblog turing test banner.

"if you don't like it, you are free to go to some different place. finish."

yeah, right, you damn bloody communists!

ooh, lovely lessons in applied discourse.

if i just could remember where i know klaus theweleit from...?

tripod.de: "das neue und verbesserte tripod wird voraussichtlich am mittwoch, dem 13. februar 2002, wieder erreichbar sein."

haha. heheheh. wuahahahahah!

what's a week compared to eternity? (still laughing my pants off).
