once again: "introducing ssl and certificates using ssleay". looks like quite an enfolding introduction...
and here's a snippet of code:
umask 77; openssl req -new -key server.key -x509 -days 365 -out server.crt
but still no experience in creating and using a "self-signed certificate authority certificate".
~cac6982: "each day in the month of february i will be posting a redesign of this page using only css. the underlying html code won't change a bit" (via abbe normal).
new scientist: "bt claims it invented the hyperlink in 1976, and anyone who uses the world wide web owes them money".
bbc news: "why bt claims it owns the right to 'click here'".
almost did not notice what hilariously's going on with the internet, patents and the big lolly once again. fortunately, there is daypop.

"richard stallman, leader of the free world, returns to fosdem." announcement at the fosdem website.
fuck you, too.

this is the (short) story of a song i once got on tape from sabine jones, my english teacher at university in hannover. she gave it to me in 1996 and the tape almost was running non-stop during my stay at mülheim where i did my second internship.
two years later i still played it at nofrontiere studio (that's what they call the office there) in vienna. at that time, mark lycette heard the song and revealed the band's name to me: the chills from new zealand.
another four years passed by the song occasionally being played at cozy dj sets hosted by klaus makotter or private parties until last week-end hannes wallnöfer hummed the melody again in front of praha holesovice.
btw. before we met in hannover, sabine jones was teaching in prague. unfortunately, we lost sight of each other after she returned to the states. she was up to moving to glasgow later, don't know if she did...
once the song was a mere tune without a name or even just any face, its secrets far from being investigated the easy way. but it became history and today we have the right tools to keep track of our mysterious past. so here are the chills with "pink frost".
the chills made some other pieces of great music as well, including "heavenly pop song", "rain", "rolling moon" (also being on that tape) or "tied up in chain". and probably they are pretty well-known out there and again i just did not have any clue?
"unsere gehirnfürze stinken nicht, aber sie wirken wie lachgas." die echten dilettanten.
leider keine website von den "dilettanten" gefunden. aber timo brunke war einer von ihnen. bis er zu bruder grimm wurde. heute organisiert und moderiert er den stuttgarter poetry slam.
eigentlich fand ich nur zufällig den link zur gifte.de site und den artikel über lachgas so klasse. die ideale droge für mich, dachte ich da.
ooh, heute you are writing in deutsh, mein herr?
