for me the disturbing twist of these cats painted in the progression of psychosis of a schizophrenic artist (which i found via metafilter) is that the author attributes cats with quite a threatening posture, crazy face expressions or cats in clothes to the "normal period"... but maybe that's just my li'l psycho-distorted perception.
