stefan schwartz, aachen 1993.

gmake -C fiasco all – whatever it means, it sounds harsh for a *nix newbie like me...

mr rinner's implementation of xml-rpc for lingo at least seems to work... and swoosh! he got dave-winered.

i think i'll have to install that witness of teachtext to know what it's all about that talking moose...

der spiegel: "realistisch betrachtet, haben ein paar bse-rinder die ökologische landwirtschaft weiter vorangebracht als 20 jahre umweltpolitik. [...] was wir brauchen, ist so eine art tschernobyl der weltwirtschaft".

phrase of the day: my feet! dedicated to some of my favorite weblogs.

the x window user and the x window setup howto.

uh, and of course the x window disaster: "how to make a 50-mips workstation run like a 4.77mhz ibm pc".

*nix people often complain about graphic designers to mutilate the web with their creations (just stoking some prejudices), but when i look at those screenshots of different x windows managers [1, 2, 3], i get quite a different picture...

meanwhile, back in the jungle: it's unbelievable how simple helma object publisher installs on mac os x! downloading, unpacking and starting – voilà! no configuring needed (except for the twisted at heart). makes me careless for another release of a classic mac version of hop.

and certainly, i also got the mysql package for os x from marc liyanage's website. the webmonkey helped me installing it.

funny, there is that ruby language crossing my way again... interesting to read the translation of some chapters of the japanese "pragmatic programmer's guide".

"kaffe is a cleanroom, open source implementation of a java virtual machine and class libraries". i am curious how this will get along with my netbsd experiment (if ever)...

i mean, the machine now even runs xwindows (using twm). so why not java? or hop? <g>

should i start a mac68k port weblog?

hey, such a personality disorder test puts me in good humour. i am very satisfied with myself. and finally i know the missing word to describe a spoonful of my social environment: histrionic.

bundesdance. dope for the people. hey, but it's fun! well, well...
