the summer starts with open-air cinemas: tonight at 21:30 in the eighth district of vienna volxkino presents "the maltese falcon" (the first and only dvd movie i bought!).
and there's more to come: fortunately, kino unter sternen is back with the usual exquisite selection of old and new, famous and insider films. also recommended is the "cine latino sommerkino" program of the austrian film archive.
as one might have noticed, film.at is a very comfortable resource for what's on the silkscreen in austria.
do the boogie-woogie: nose-picking basics.
microsoft drops smarttags. hmmm... i don't know: it was too easy. or am i too modest? perhaps, perhaps it is an example that things change when enough people stand up for their opinions. however, i also made heavily different experiences, too.
nah, politics. you have to think in looong terms. that's the trick. and the bloody difficulty. because it takes so much of one's energy. it eats up your soul. that's probably why there are so little whole-souled politicians.
pixelwings, my former employers, finally relaunched their new website. i almost feel a little bit honoured that every "member of pixelwings" got an own weblog (kind of a little legacy).
definitely great is the fact that the whole team is shown to the public. they are really nice people. yeah, and it probably will get interesting when they start talking to us in other words than the corporate site does (remember cluetrain?).
i like the new website much better than the old yellow framesets (btw. where did it go?). however, the use of sixcms seems to make a mess with urls. but nice urls are important because urls are user interfaces. i probably did not mention this often enough at the time...
hey, florian brought me a present from spain: "tobi, el tucán, y su pico ruidoso". a book with a beak (movable, that is. and making a clicking sound when i open and close it).
"querido tobi, por favor, ¿podrías hacer menos ruido con tu pico? el clic, clac no nos deja dormir."
now what? is that an innuendo? and who is here to sleep, anyway? i mean, there are at last spanish books about lifeforms called tobi who are dragons, true friends or world savers (i assume). <g>
password managers... uhm, are they any good? and are there any that work on the web? or is this too much risk at all?
shit, in the last time i always forget to take my cellular with me... would be cool if i could send a number and a password via web or e-mail (or even a phone call from another wire) to redirect calls to a phone nearby.
splendiferously senseless (or vice versa): oguzuj lizo, iwiten rumo. the making of is at henso.
the smart tags weblog: disabling smart tags under apache 1.2 and later.
all good proxies need that like proxygen! on the other hand: will it work this way at all?
whew, sensomatic released typemagic 3000, the "totally terrific type tool"... very, very cool, indeed. it bears my last name!
i just wished, the style-sheet would be displayed as ready-made css-code for cut&paste purposes.
and another suggestion: the future of html is lowercase.
