under the sign of the 64 now it's my turn to reference some mp3-tracks... and although i think with a certain age one should get over hip-hop, i do like straight outta compUSA. music that proves that the default apple alert sounds are good enough for being used as a rhythm section (just as the platinum sounds do); lyrics that rebut that the macintosh text-to-speech abilities could not be used for some snot rappin'.
the creators of this deathly ill hip-hop are from new york, n.y., doing their thang since 1982(!). and "dj goodbeats" is a mysogynic imac that obviously hates its group colleagues but makes beats some real dope shit, y'knowotamsayin' suckling!?
sigh.
beware of linking to yahoo.com or similar directory services. the porn is just 4 clicks away.
"There's bogeys on the blankets and snot on the sheets when Neil and the others come down with the worst colds in the history of civilisation!"
right, this is about "the young ones" which i was introduced to by my dear australian friend mark in 1996 (quite late).
"the young ones" was the first "alternative" comedy show on bbc merging an unusual sitcom with anarchistic punk and ornamented by popular music groups and famous cameo appearances.
it's definitely great fun!
online-recht provides huge ressources about online law (in german).
no reason to be cheerful (pt.iii): ian dury is dead.
if the rise of punk rock was to be happening in these days, dury probably would have been frontman of the "blogheads".
chris has a cool new layout and bill has a cool new browser for the mac (thanks, hannes!).
"the first web outliner", pike is there and it is good! i am just not used to outliners very well (i hope i will be, soon). but it's a great tool to write structured texts like html or weblogs...
btw: pike is the name for a version of frontier that hides a lot of the technical features and emphasizes on the writing part. but you can see that it's frontier, when an error occurs.
today is moving day! the office the architects share with helma and me is moving to a lower level. well, actually we are all still moving higher and higher, but that's more a mental kind of thang.
however, the links above won't work for the time of the moving and so won't the haboglabobloggin' navigation.
amazon's on the way towards a european version of their one-click patent.
one day this patent spoof will come true?
i recommend tim berners-lee's "weaving the web" to all of those wanky politicians making efforts to regulate the net these days. i know, i know, they don't listen to microserfs like me...
however, it is great to read the story of the person who is referenced to as the inventor of the web. now i understand the difference between uri and url and why the web as it is today is incomplete from berners-lee's point of view (which i share).
how about a reconstruction of the www in the name of the uri? persistance rules ok!
btw: i am glad that women like nicola pellow played important roles in the evolution of the web.
