i kinda like the design of weblognation. but where's all the content? uh, i see: there are back and forth links on the bottom of the archive...

bloat is the way of writing i am dreaming of. someday i will dare it, too.

ownersmanual is a hopeful candidate as the first austrian design weblog. fresh!

first i found another two euroblogs: andrea's weblog and the far side of my mind. then i found this banner... (sorry, this is an irrelevant inner-german issue only).

ooh, more XXXplicit german on the advertised site: "Unsere Agentur wird allen einzamen, geschiedenen Leuten oder Witwen, die ernsthaft interessiert an ihre Lebensdauer Veränderung ist, die den Sozialkreis ausdehnen, um eine Person, die das Schicksal sein könnte, zu treffen mochte, oder finden einen Feder-Kameraden und beginnen sogar eine virtuelle Liebegeschichte mochte, orientiert."

i should have rather clicked on "verzichten".

on the euroranch messageboard someone left a link to xenoblogs: weblogs from outside the usa. that's great, i get the full picture better and better, now. in the listing ordered by, uhm, numbers i find also netdyslexia who just started a similar thang called euroblogs (what a clever turn from euroranch to euroblogs in this posting!).

i implemented the leo dictionary bookmarklet and modified the leo-link on the left side. now i simply select a word or phrase and get the translation via the link.

"nØ1se is not limited to electronic media, but traces the digital imagination from such myths as Noah's Ark, through the early modern experiments of Charles Babbage's Difference Engine and Morse's Telegraph, up to today's charge coupled devices (CCDs), robotics and beyond..."

i like the random noise generator on the start page: two quicktime sounds asynchronously resonating with each other. simple things for simple minds like me (and less frames, please...).

here they go again: secrets of the internet (1).

i do not get through to sensomatic and their famous london diary for three days already. history revisited?

and what the heck is with nedstat? <grmbl!> dammit, i'll give it another try with the german version – but be warned, nedstat...

i wonder if crit.org (yes, it's back online again!) is too complicated for the average internet surfer... crit.org provides an easy way to add comments to websites, however one must be aware what to fill in each text field of the comment form. another big disadvantage is that it cannot cope with frames.

but i would love to see many people using crit.org. especially on news sites (mass media) without a discussion forum it gives one the possibility to react appropriately on their often misguided journalism.

blogger got new make-up and exciting news: "We've got a whole bunch of new features in development too these days, and we're proud to release our first one, in beta, today: remote editing. Now you can edit your page from your own page."

with an additional piece of javascript and some new blogger tags added to the blogger template, the editors get a customizable edit link on their pages. the link opens a new window with a form including the appropriate post and the usual submit buttons.

it's still beta, they say, but it works!
