rrrespect and a very more thank you! goes out once again and forever to netdyslexia. a must read weblog – just forget about krokettke.org, here comes dogma2000!

more music: last summer's club hit "sing it back" creators moloko release their next album and single.

"the time is now" (also available as mp3 via napster and its sexy mac version macster) surely is not a bad track but i wonder why they have to follow down the same bloody artsy-fartsy "let's do a song with a symphonic orchestra" path to sound like soul 2 soul on lsd at the end of the eighties (now that reminds me of portishead)... or are moloko the soundgarden edition for clubbers?

actually, moloko was big "fun for me" in the beginning. now they really seem to turn serious. is there some depression going on?

ok, enough of that. music sounds better with him.

critizising architecture since april 1, 1980: 20 years of einstürzende neubauten.

just like kraftwerk – the neubauten too often are considered to be too serious by the most of their audience, especially by music theoretists and essayists. the neubauten have a fine (non)sense of humour one can find simply listening to their subversive works. it's not always a tale from their crypt, merely too much desire for understanding by the listener.

i must own up to myself that piefke essaying on music is like piefke speaking viennese (or writing in english)...

wintertime is over (at least it should be).

if this is really the new skin for weblogs.com then i hope someone will think about it again...

and now for something completely different: introducing wally nutt by takeshi murata. music by django reinhardt.

yesterday i had dinner with claudia at kiang (where you probably can get some spicy noodles, too). we were talking a lot about weblogs, that's for sure. as the collaborative part of helma retired we happily noticed that there is a life after, that there are many more weblogs than we were able to see being stuck in our little helmaworld.

however, weblogs haven't got big time in europa, yet. and the "biggest assumable desaster" (ie. bad) would be when people jump on the logtrain without a sense and respect for the community that came the long way, baby.

(excuse me getting pathétique...)

sure, there is some vanity within it – and vanity kills (it don't pay bills). but i just imagine somebody would start to profitably use our links but dismiss our urls... any numb effort to exploit the webloggers will give damage to the idea and the sense of weblogging. and i am highly sceptical about too many people getting the net, yet. not to mention weblogs.

probably news as fresh as an old fart, but i just discovered that all the sites at editthispage.com are viewable with a wap device simply by adding a trailing "wap/" to the site url.

e.g. the popo.at discussion forum can be accessed with a wml browser via popo.editthispage.com. however, this won't make dave winer taking notice of them either... :(

andré radke once wrote the appropriate story about him becoming a wap user – a very good reference for wap developers, generally. spicynoodles is a german weblog in english, too.

under the sign of the 64 – now it's my turn to reference some mp3-tracks... and although i think with a certain age one should get over hip-hop, i do like straight outta compUSA. music that proves that the default apple alert sounds are good enough for being used as a rhythm section (just as the platinum sounds do); lyrics that rebut that the macintosh text-to-speech abilities could not be used for some snot rappin'.

the creators of this deathly ill hip-hop are from new york, n.y., doing their thang since 1982(!). and "dj goodbeats" is a mysogynic imac that obviously hates its group colleagues but makes beats some real dope shit, y'knowotamsayin' suckling!?

"There's bogeys on the blankets and snot on the sheets when Neil and the others come down with the worst colds in the history of civilisation!"

right, this is about "the young ones" which i was introduced to by my dear australian friend mark in 1996 (quite late).

"the young ones" was the first "alternative" comedy show on bbc merging an unusual sitcom with anarchistic punk and ornamented by popular music groups and famous cameo appearances.

it's definitely great fun!
