it's just a feeling. but after all the hype i have acknowledged in the last 10 webby years as well as all the rubbish i have heard on independent radio channels, the demise of podcasting must have been carved into buzz stone.
blogging was kind of subversive quite for a long time until mainstream media picked up the thread. and that they did pretty ruggedly. don't we remember the criticism about unreliable diaries and vain boredom?
now the same people tout almost like "hail podcasting!" although it's the same vanity combined with ignorant incompetence and lack of technical as well as conceptual skills – most of the time. boring as hell.
if the podders at least would have a sound voice... (and a good mic.)
and still i cannot see a solution to the bandwidth problem implicated by podcasting. (what about bittorrent?)
got a mail from a big austrian music corp asking which digital rights management we will include in mp3s containing 30 sec. snippets of their music they oh so generously accepted to give away...
