schon seltsam, wenn sich einer 20 jahre mehr und mehr abschottet, um letztendlich die wissenschaftsgeschichte (v.a. die zukünftige) revolutionieren zu wollen: hallo, da bin ich wieder, und ich hab euch eine halbe million wörter mitgebracht, die einiges infrage stellen, was ihr so glaubt, in den letzten 20 jahren herausgefunden zu haben...
gar nicht nach meinem geschmack, angesichts dessen, wie ich derzeit im dunstkreis von offen propagierter transparenz, vernetztem austausch und weltumspannender gleichzeitigkeit zähfließe. aber vielleicht liegt darin die eigentliche tragik, das dumpfe gefühl, dass man in 20 jahren selbst ja doch nichts auch nur halb so großartiges zustande bringen würde. und daher versichert man sich lieber täglich, dass die wenigen dinge, die man zu begreifen meint, oder zumindest zu vermitteln glaubt, doch immerhin eine kleingruppe von möglicherweise über den globus verstreuten interessenten unmittelbar anspricht.

one of my colleagues is right: they simply should turn off the discussion boards at oesterreich.orf.at. this would not mean any censorship, just a reduction of noise signals that the whole country deserves. o du mein österreich...
phew, i wonder if (and if, how much) this project got political implications: they rule displays the boards of director's of america's bigcos and reveals their interweavements (does it?) and donations of money in politics. ie. it shows the decision makers and their influence on our everyday lives.
very impressive, even if the database might get out of sync with reality. i think that truly deserves a golden nica for net excellence (via conspirat comm port).
same respect for logicaland which already pleases with its very clear visualisation of current world facts. let's see what it's like to play the game, then. it looks very promising.
