“the gap” is not the new future-magazine by telekom austria, but rather already an inherent part of austria's media landscape.

however, two weeks ago i read it for the first time at the bad fischau baths (my first visit, too) and must admit that i liked it, escpecially the interview with oliviero toscanini.

two minor turn-downs are the website (not unusual for a print magazine) and too many names of ubiquitous butt-ins in the masthead (not unusual for austria).

certainly, i also liked bad fischau very much.

".copy" is the "new future-magazine by telekom austria" (the company with the stunning new logo, y'know?).

please take a look at the print version, too. it will make you relax again after crashing into this shocking example of an ancient website concept.

you even cannot (dot-)copy text from the articles...

i finished an improved version of the colorp3kker. now including hannes’ modifications (ia. setting the color palette to the selected brightness), larger color squares and some javascript code that decreased the final download size.

leute, die scheint's keine ahnung vom web und/oder verkrusteten gesellschaftlichen strukturen haben.

leute, die ihr eigenes befinden als das einer imaginären mehrheit ausleben, ständig ein wirres "wir"-gefühl vermitteln wollen, im wirren "wir"-plural von sich und sozialen gefügen reden, selbst aber mit den größten mängeln sozialer kompetenz zu kämpfen haben.

leute, die im web ein peinliches gebaren an den tag legen, das sich durch nichts von dem selbsternannter ver-revoluzzer, verwirrter grätzel-guerilleros oder ahnungsloser zufallsmärtyrer unterscheidet.

und dennoch: das web ist die chance der stunde. das würde klarer werden, wenn diese leute mehr über das web schrieben, anstatt sich ständig bemüht und ermüdend selbst inszenierten.

ich bin ja schon ganz aufmerksam... also kommt zur sache, schätzchen.

thanks to helma's amazing javascript-to-java scripting features it was quite easy to quickly hack this prototype of a colorp3kker.

i used the java method getHSBColor to achieve a meaningful color layout.

the picker still lacks of a smart interface and a connection to the appropriate antville form fields.
