voidstar rss faq.

rss... er, yes! i probably did not mention at all that the rss javascript viewer since two weeks or so is kindly hosted by adam curry at publish.curry.com.

adam curry has a wonderful biography. once he fought against the entertainment industry. well, obviously he had no choice... so long ago and it still is like that today: bigcos trying to screw the humble people.

jungle world: "die party ist vorbei – die euphorie war verbraucht, meint elke naters über das ende des autorenprojekts ampool.de. das ding war so unaufgeregt wie ein waldspaziergang, sagt sven lager."

i am sure that the relaunch of the ifabo computer fair will be successful. i mean, no "ice-licking kids", the obligatory @ in the name ("ifatbo"), the "e-intelligence" in the subtitle and the austrian and us-american inventors of the internet... what do you want more? come to vienna, come to where it's at! holy moly...

i wonder what it might sound like when a computer emulates a b4 organ... or a a vox continental, a farsifa, an indian harmonium.

darned, i missed the wife carrying world championships on 14 july 2001 in sonkajärvi. more at whatsgoingon.com.

and i think i also won't be pulling faces at the gurning competition in egremont, uk. but fortunately, this also can be done online.

btw. i got the inspiration to this entry from a story at orf on. but the editors there are very, very afraid of links. and i wanted links.

creating a development process using sourceforge: "it is my belief, and all I have to go on is my perspective, that sourceforge was 'written' and did not have a larger scope strategy and design in mind. this may be the by-product of reading too much into the cathedral and the bazaar, a marketing rush job to get something out the door or just my imagination."

happy b-day, pimi!

i must confess that i actually don't know any good e-card website. and i even did not find a lot that i liked in between half an hour of searching the web. i favour those which come along with antique or "weird" motives. and i definitely dislike all those sites that claim to provide "cool, funny design" cards. they are completely shitty. what i found and like so far: titanic marconigram, virtual crack, cbc design library and vintage greetings. not a very satisfying collection. there has to be more and better stuff out there...

kris recommends indiatimes' egreetings.
