some news about mastheads.
in austria there is no such medienstaatsvertrag as in germany, but – just as mentioned by schockwellenreiter – there already is an european-wide regulation in effect concerning masthead liabilities.
nevertheless, for a private weblog which does not sell anything, does not offer advertising banners for money or publishes hints to products for sale or services at charge, there is not even a single reason for duty of disclosure. this means: no need for a masthead in respect of competition, consumer and trade law (i think i am missing the correct juristic expressions).
however, under media law the necessity of a masthead might be unshirkable and hence it's not a bad idea to add one to my weblog, too...

and i mean it. i had to recharge myself with a hat full of sleep after i took the night train from firenze back to vienna. i never fall asleep in these couchettes although i generally use to remain in a healthy and deep slumber at night.
and even yesterday we had this year's second(!) meeting with the popos. it's not unusual, because their energy is very low as well, just as of the whole resistance movement against an extreme-right-wing coalition in austria. and here some sleep probably won't give recreation.
at schockwellenreiter i read that german "geschäftsmäßig betriebene" (business-driven?) websites need an "impressum" (masthead). so do i need one, too, or what? i don't think so. however, i consulted the popological laywer for details. will keep you informed.
