This awful tabloid predicts a killer asteroid almost every day.
Take an article about what the tabloid called an “asteroid swarm” of 16 space rocks “hurtling towards Earth.” Scroll down several paragraphs — and past a few images of gigantic fireballs crashing into our planet — and you’ll read that all 16 asteroids will safely sail by.

‘Deal with the Devil’: Austrian Serbs Embrace Anti-Migrant Right.
Austria’s far-right Freedom Party rails against immigration, but counts on the support of one of the largest migrant communities in the country – Serbs.
Computer, here’s my problem. Go figure.
Sentient is a high-level, declarative programming language that lets you describe what your problem is and not how to solve it. Sentient tries to figure that out for itself. It provides a rich toolkit to allow programmers to express their problems in a familiar way.
Getting Stories from the Command Line.
Using command line tools whois and grep, the Financial Times found out who registered the website and retrieved a phone number.
I appreciate the article’s idea/lism on teaching journalists some computer tricks for their research. However, either its inception was way before the GDPR came into effect or it just outright wants to fool people tools like whois can still (i.e. under GDPR) be used reliably as an investigative tool. I stopped showing to the journalist students how whois works already last year as it became utterly useless for retrieving more helpful information of a website.
Talk about unintended consequences: GDPR is an identity thief's dream ticket to Europeans' data.
Over the space of two months Pavur sent out 150 GDPR requests in his fiancée's name, asking for all and any data on her. In all, 72 per cent of companies replied back, and 83 companies said that they had information on her.
Relevant: Logs were our lifeblood. Now they're our liability.
There’s no such thing as a 140-character exegesis: the (non)-discourse around “Joker” is the latest to prove that social media is designed for emotion, not dialogue.
